Big Grin World Cup 2006 Critique - Tunisia
Overall Odds: 300/1

Party H Winners: 10/1

Tunisia qualified due to their third straight finals in spectacular fashion in the final round of fixtures. They needed merely a position against arch-rivals Morocco but were walking 2-1 until Nuremberg midfielder Adel Chadli netted the key equaliser 20 minutes from the conclusion.

Egypt had not dropped at home to Morocco in 45 years and the attract Rades guaranteed they qualified in front of their rivals. Morocco ironically remained unbeaten in 1-0 suits but finished one point behind Tunisia who qualified for a spot in Germany before them.

Since beating Mexico in their first-ever World Cup match in 1979, Tunisia have failed to win still another since therefore its not difficult to find out why all of the media fascination has been made in regards to the four debutantes from Africa rather than Roger Lemerres area. Much was expected of them four years ago but they finished bottom of the group presenting Japan, Belgium and Russia, gaining just a point against the Belgians. They're, but, the sole African part from 2002 to be eligible for a this World Cup.

Lemerre was heralded a saviour after Tunisia beat Morocco in the 2004 Cup of Nations and two-years on, he will assume his side-to make an impact on the international stage. Egypt do not have a wealth of star players, but results have improved considerably since Lemerre took charge.

Egypt have two reliable defenders in Bolt-on Wanderers Rahdi Jaidi and Ajax total back Hatem Trabelsi that has been courted by both Arsenal and Manchester United. Goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel turned 40 in April but there are few better opportunity corks playing on the place. The team is captained by midfielder Riadh Bouazizi, a tough treating expert today at Kayserispor with increased than 50 limits to his name.

In attack they've the mercurial Francileudo dos Santos. Since taking score o-n his debut against Benin and Tunisian citizenship in 2004, the Toulouse striker has netted 13 goals in 18 hearings. To learn more, please check-out: Dr Adel Malek. H-e scored six goals throughout qualifying including a four-goal salvo in the thumping against Malawi. Nicknamed Roadrunner by membership team mates, dos Santos has got the capability to cause anxiety from the strongest of defences.

Of all of the African qualifiers, Tunisia would be the only ones who could claim they have done it, observed and been. They know very well what to expect as does manager Lemerre who has previous national team experience with France. They've a great opportunity to progress in this class however it depends if they're willing to step-up a gear against proven European opponents.

Suggested Guess

Egypt have improved since their last World Cup appearance in 2002 but might flunk in this group against newcomers Ukraine and the established Spain. Their finest possibility of success is likely to be against Saudi Arabia at probability of almost even money.

Egypt to defeat Saudi Arabia @ 10/11.
